9/10

Picking up from issue #4, Luthor and Joker almost have the Totality within theirs grasps. Batman, Superman, Martian Manhunter, and Hawkgirl are seemingly defeated. On Earth the Legion of Doom has the rest of the League on the ropes.

Joker comes more to the forefront of this issue, which I wasn't expecting. We find out a little bit about his motivations for joining the Legion of Doom. Luthor and Joker teaming up works so well in this story. Where other villains might not work with him, Luthor obviously knows he can use him to his advantage and does so perfectly. The fight seen between Luthor and Batman might be my favorite part of the issue. I've always loved the dynamic between those two.

The rest of the League has pretty much lost control of Earth to Umbrax and Sinestro. This Legion of Doom is not the same L.O.D. from the Super Friends cartoon. Snyder has brought together a great team of villains that have really given the league a reason to be afraid. When all hope seems lost, Superman, Batman and Martian Manhunter are sent back to Earth and with the rest of the team come up with an unusual strategy to take control of the Earth back. I think it was such a brilliant move by Snyder, especially that last page.

Snyder is getting better with each issue, which is hard because I've loved every issue so far. I can't wait for the next issue. I can't wait to find out more about all these new forces and the Invisible Spectrum. This might go down as one of the greatest Justice League runs in history. Jorge Jimenez once again killed it on art. The first page with Joker was absolutely terrifying, I almost want to see a Joker book drawn by him. The fight scene with Batman and Luthor was choreographed beautifully. Alejandro Sanchez's colors are one of my favorite parts of this book, I don't think the book would be the same without him.

You guys definetly need to pick this book up when it comes out tomorrow.
