RYAN'S PICKS

The Flash #76
After one hell of an arc with "Year One", Williamson returns this week, and the Speed Force is dying. It's clear that Barry won't have much time to deal with what happened last issue. Plus Captain Cold accepted Lex's offer, which clearly means he got an upgrade of some kind. How will Barry defeat his foes if he's slowing down?
Come see, why this is one of the best books from DC.
Here's the solicit:
"Death of the Speed Force" begins! With renewed resolve following the events of "The Flash Year One," the Flash is back with a new mission, a new outlook and a brand-new speedster HQ. But the Fastest Man Alive is slowing down-and there's only one explanation: the Speed Force is dying. Plus, the Year of the Villain heats up as Captain Cold uses Lex Luthor's offer to boost Heat Wave to the next level!

Ghosted In LA #2
This has to be one of my favorite new books. Sina Grace and Siobhan Keenan have created a humorous and charming story that you can't help but love. After Daphne decides to befriend this house full of ghosts, not to mention living with them, I can only imagine the possibilities.
If you missed the first issue, go ask your LCS to cop one for you. This is the book I think everyone should have on their pull.
Here's the solicit:
Daphne settles into her new life as a resident of Rycroft Manor, and the unique challenge of living with ghosts. Pros: they don't steal her food. Cons: It's the first date she's been on since Ronnie, and her roommates keep popping up all over the place. Literally.
TREVOR'S PICKS

Captain Marvel #9
Things started to go a bit downhill for Carol last issue. People aren't as trusting now knowing she is half Kree, her powers are getting weaker and there is also a new hero on the scene that caused her first appearance to raise the issues prices! As someone who has recently grown fond of Captain Marvel after having a different opinion being introduced to them in Civil War 2, I'm eager to see what she can do to win the world's favor and trust back again or how she will adapt.
Here's the solicit:
A STAR RISES, ANOTHER FALLS! Being Captain Marvel has been the greatest joy of Carol Danvers' life. But a new hero is rising to the limelight - just as Carol's own powers begin to fail her. With everyone now believing she's a Kree traitor, Carol can't help but wonder...does the world even need Captain Marvel?

Justice League Odyssey #12
After last issue partially confirmed Jessica's suspicion that some of the members of the group might have been indoctrinated by Darkseid, I've only been more excited to see where it goes next. The idea of some of these well know heroes being new old gods or whatever is crazy. Azrael is basically Preacher! I can't wait to see how my favorite Green Lantern handles trying to fight her own friends gone evil with the little power she has left in her ring!
Here's the solicit:
The new reign of Darkseid begins in the Ghost Sector! With the death of the New Gods, he plans to use the Sepulkore to rebuild a new army, but even the great Darkseid couldn't enslave and control the Ghost Sector alone. He'll require the help of the New Gods' newest heralds: Cyborg, Starfire and Azrael!
GEN'S PICK

Show's End #1
Even though I got an advanced copy, I still asked my LCS to order me this first number of a new series by MAD CAVE STUDIOS. Why? Because the more I think about it, the more I want to read it again. I just think the art is beautiful and the story really picked my curiosity. I'm always ready for a soft horror story and I just kind of connected with Loralye. I need this copy in my collection and I think you need it too.
Here's the solicit:
''Equal parts brutal and beautiful, Show’s End takes place in Georgia during the 1920s and follows Loralye, a 12-year-old runaway seeking refuge with a traveling group of freak show performers. At first, she isn’t welcomed for being too “ordinary.” But what her new found family doesn’t know, is that Loralye is hiding a secret more freakish than anyone could ever imagine!''
SHAH'S PICK

WHITE TREES #1
Watch out—Chip Zdarsky is making a creator owned book again! The White Trees is a TWO ISSUE fantasy mini-series by Zdarsky and artist Kris Anka with colorist Matt Wilson. This bold book has it all: dragons, war, magic, interesting characters and...it’s supposed to be horny as hell. Zdarsky writes deeply emotional and complex stories and Anka and Wilson’s visuals will blow your eyes out the back of your head. There aren't any plans to collect it. So make sure you scoop up a copy before collectors get them all!
Here's the solicit:
MINISERIES PREMIERE! Acclaimed Daredevil writer CHIP ZDARSKY teams up with superstar Runaways artists KRIS ANKA and MATT WILSON for this spectacular OVERSIZED TWO-ISSUE MINISERIES! In the fantastical world of Blacksand, peace was hard-won, and three unbending warriors carry the scars to prove it. Now, almost twenty years later, their children are missing and war is on the horizon. Can they put aside their memories of the war-and each other-for one last adventure?
CIDNYA'S PICK

SILVER SURFER BLACK #3
I finally caught up on Silver Surfer Black issues 1 and 2. I can not get over how stunning and psychedelic Tradd's artwork is! Donny Cates writing on this book feels so poetic. Issue 3 comes out and it is the book I am most excited about!
Here's the solicit:
• The Surfer's power is fading! • Is this the end of Norrin Radd as the all-consuming darkness descends upon him? • Or will help come in the form of an unexpected ally?
DYLAN'S PICK

ONCE &FUTURE #1
As someone who is currently obsessed with lore and mythology, what in Boom! Studios’ upcoming Once & Future series should I not be excited about? Kieron Gillen breathing new life into Arthurian tales? while Dan Mora awesomely portrays epic battles and supernatural horror to life? All with a modern day backdrop? Yeah. I’m all in.
Here’s the Solicit:
When a group of Nationalists use an ancient artifact to bring a villain from Arthurian myth back from the dead to gain power, ex-monster hunter Bridgette McGuire escapes her retirement home and pulls her unsuspecting grandson Duncan, a museum curator, into a world of magic and mysticism to defeat a legendary threat. * Bestselling writer Kieron Gillen (DIE, The Wicked + The Divine, Star Wars) and Russ Manning Award-winning artist Dan Mora (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Klaus) explore the mysteries of the past, the complicated truths of our history and the power of family to save the day - especially if that family has secret bunkers of ancient weapons and decades of experience hunting the greatest monsters in Britain 's history!
