RYAN'S PICKS

ROBIN 80TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL
Yet another Anniversary special from DC, this time covering Robin. With al the Robins being some of my favorite characters, I can hardly wait to see what these creators have in store. With so many of them returning to characters that they worked on in the past, it will be exciting to see all new stories without the burden of continuity. Plus there are a bunch of awesome decade covers.
Here's the solicit:
DC Comics celebrates Robin the Boy Wonder's 80th anniversary in style with an all-star creative team representing each iteration of the iconic character across eight decades of history! From the high-flying adventures of Dick Grayson to the tragedy of Jason Todd, the enthusiasm of Tim Drake and the arrogance of Damian Wayne, the persistence of Stephanie Brown and the rebelliousness of Carrie Kelley-the mantle of Robin has been worn by many, but always represents one thing: a hero.

X-RAY ROBOT #1
Anytime we get a new Mike Allred book, is a time to rejoice. This looks like the right amount of zany mixed with sci-fi that is sure to blow all of our minds. Plus as with Mike's art, I can't get enough of Laura's colors, they're mesmerizing.
Here's the solicit:
Max is a family man seeking a more interesting life. While conducting a new experiment at work, the fabric of his reality is torn before his eyes, and a robotic figure appears, claiming to be his 277-year-old self. The robot is able to "X-Ray" multiple dimensions and battles a nihilistic entity from another dimension who wants to take all life to its "Pre-Big Bang" status. Max and the robot embark on an interdimensional roadtrip through past and future to take down the "Nihilist" and save the universe! o Mike Allred's new bizarre superhero character X-Ray Robot!
GEN'S PICK

NOMEN OMEN VOL.1
I wrote an advanced review when the first number of this series came out a couple months ago. I decided to wait for the trade since, as you must know by know, I’m trying to reduce my pull list. I am however really excited to finally be able to continue the story with this first volume available this week.
Here’s the solicit:
No matter how fast you run, sooner or later your past will catch up with you. Becky Kumar is a daughter of three mothers and a geeky twenty-year-old from New York City who is about to cross the veil between our reality and an ancient realm of otherworldly truths.
TREVOR'S PICKS

SPIDER-WOMAN #1
It's here! My favorite Spider has her own series again. I really grew to like Jessica Drew's character from learning about her crazy double agent back stories from Hydra, to being a cool Super Mom. I can't wait to see what wild action is in store for Spider-Woman this week!
Here's the solicit:
SPIDER-WOMAN IS BACK, AND PULLING NO PUNCHES! Jessica Drew hasn't been feeling like herself lately (she's not a Skrull, we promise). When the angry, irritable, and unwell Spider-Woman takes a simple security gig to help get back on her feet, she finds herself besieged by unknown forces out to destroy everything around her. What's wrong with Jessica? Just how DID she get this job? And who are these violent lunatics who keep trying to blow her up? WHO CARES? Does Spider-Woman have someone to punch? THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS. An explosive new series that pushes Spider-Woman into new heights of action and adventure from the mad minds of Karla Pacheco and Pere Pérez, this is the Spider-Woman book you've been waiting for!

AQUAMAN #58
Well, based off the solicits I guess we can scratch Orm from being the potential fun uncle in the Aqua Family. This issue has me looking forward to seeing what Ocean Master sees in his newborn niece that challenges his bee kingdom and followers.
Here's the solicit:
There's a baby in the water, and the sharks are circling! Mera lies comatose following the birth of her child, and when it becomes clear that he who has the royal baby has royal power, Aquaman must flee with his young daughter. But will he be able to escape Ocean Master, who's been sharpening his trident as well as his plans for takeover with a loyal new army at his back? The hunt is on...and everything Arthur holds dear hangs in the balance!

X-FORCE #9
I'll be honest, it's hard to not have X-Force as a pick of the week each time it comes out. Percy has done some of my favorite stories and this run so far has been extremely good. Plus, it has Quentin Quire in it and for putting him on a team with Logan, I thank this series for that. This issue has the team going into South America to clean up one mutant's mess. I'm guessing Beast's.
Here's the solicit:
REAP WHAT YOU SOW! In the heart of South America, X-Force finds a problem growing that threatens to destroy everything they've built... and one of their own might be responsible.
